The short answer
Dream interpretation is not prediction and not diagnosis. This article separates what sleep research observes from what popular interpretation associates with the theme.
Dreaming about the sun does not announce success, money or pregnancy. Sunny scenes tend to appear in light-hearted dreams linked to rest, holidays, good memories or relief after a hard phase. When the sun goes dark or burns too hot, the dream usually comes with worry or a sense of exhaustion.

What research observes
Under the continuity hypothesis, what we live while awake feeds our dreams. Beach days, a recent trip or a week of intense heat often show up in the scene.
The emotion of the dream matters too: studies of dream content show that the emotional tone of the night follows the mood of the day, and a sunny sky fits calmer phases.

If the sky in your dream is at night, see dreaming about the moon.
When to seek help
Dreaming about the sun is common and harmless. If it turns into a recurring nightmare and you wake up frightened several times a week, it is worth talking to a health professional: see how to have fewer nightmares.

What dream books say
Livro do Sonho, a popular Brazilian dream dictionary, calls the sun an excellent omen, especially with a clear blue sky, and ties it to great news in the family. In almost every culture, the sun is a symbol of life, clarity and energy.
Freud described dream books as a kind of dictionary that translates each image into another with a fixed meaning. Artemidorus of Daldis, author of the oldest dream interpretation book that has survived, advised looking at the dreamer's life before interpreting. If you see the dream as a message, both paths suggest the same thing: ask what this image brings to mind in your life right now. See dream meanings according to science and culture.

What folklore says
In many cultures, the sun is a symbol of life, energy and clarity, and dreaming about it is read as a sign of a good phase. In some traditions, the sunset speaks of farewell. These are cultural and symbolic readings from the dream tradition, worth using for personal reflection rather than as a guarantee of what will happen.
