A study of people in relationships found an association between the emotion of dreams about the partner and behavior in the relationship the next day. That is an association, not a prediction.

- An argument: real tension or an unresolved subject.
- Distant spouse: a feeling of little presence or of longing.

If dreams about your spouse repeat an insecurity, it is worth talking while awake about what is behind it. If the discomfort persists, couples or individual therapy helps. Frequent nightmares also have well-supported treatment.

In folk reading, dreaming about a spouse speaks of the bond, and dreams of fights or betrayal are seen as a reflection of insecurity. These are cultural readings with no proof and no value as a warning.
